Established 23 years ago we remain based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire (home of the Vimy bomber), and for the last 15 years Buchan House, Leighton Buzzard has been home to the Qi team.

Qi continues to extend its profile and work with new manufacturing customers across the UK. We support our customers with Sage 50 Upgrades, migrations to Dynamics 365 Business Central (deploying Qi Extensions for Sage for smooth data migration and customer onboarding). Our hardware and network department provides the advice and know how every business needs in this ever-changing landscape. Cloud implementations and the deployment of Office 365 and its many invaluable applications have become part of our ‘every day’. Hardware and network services increasingly extend beyond the physicality of devices.
Qi continues to grow at a steady pace and most importantly in a sustainable manner resulting in an experienced team with in-depth knowledge not only of the information technology we work with but of our ever-growing customer base who use it.
How do we achieve this?
The Qi Business Strategy
We work with technologies that take our customers (and Qi) forward. We make considered judgements around how we support legacy software and plan carefully the roadmap forward for our customers. We will never recommend the deployment of any solution unless there has been the necessary investigations and proof of concept to ensure it is the right one to meet our customer’s current and future needs.
The Key Ingredient – Our People
Qi is made up of a time-served core of team members. An active programme of training and recruitment means that we grow our team with the right people in the right way.
We were delighted to welcome a new apprentice to our customer service support team earlier this year in partnership with Milton Keynes College and we are also delighted to announce the arrival of a further new team member this month to train with our Dynamics 365 Business Central applications team.
Investment in people and their personal development results in a knowledgeable and effective team. The Qi team truly works together to deliver a 360 approach to the work that we do.

Senior Applications Consultant (NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central)
This team member joined Qi 18 years ago, fresh from university where he had studies Mathematics – as a Trainee Applications Consultant. His developmental learning curve within Qi has included Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Manufacturing, Access Development, Microsoft’s NAV and now Dynamics 365 Business Central. What he doesn’t know about development within NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central could be written on a microchip in big letters.
Head of Hardware, Networks and IT Infrastructure
This team member joined Qi 12 years ago from the electronics manufacturing industry with merely a keen hobby interest in computer hardware. Starting as a trainee Hardware consultant within the department his eye for detail, project planning and appetite to learn and master new technologies as they evolved within the industry makes him (in our opinion) one of the safest pair of hands you will find regarding advice and infrastructure specification. Will is also our security lead – which is increasingly vital as ransomware attacks at an alarming pace
Applications Consultant (Access, NAV, Dynamics 365 Business Central)
This team member joined us 6 years ago – once again his experience was not applications based – he had worked successfully with CAD software for interior design. He has embraced the necessary training to become a skilled Access developer and NAV/Dynamics 365 Business Central team member supporting the team on new projects and NAV upgrades.
