Sage 50 Manufacturing was officially discontinued by Sage UK in September 2021. Help is at hand for customers not yet ready to migrate/upgrade to an alternative!

Not ready to migrate/upgrade from Sage 50 Manufacturing?

Whilst Sage UK have discontinued Sage 50 Manufacturing and ceased to test new versions of Sage 50c Accounts for use with it, customers can still get business partner support for Sage 50 Manufacturing from selected Sage business partners in the UK, until they have completed their internal review regarding which application to move to.  A move away from Sage 50 Manufacturing is inevitable but it is, as ever, all about timing.

Sage 50 Manufacturing Support & time served experience

Qi Ltd has worked with Sage 50 Manufacturing for 20 years and with its direct predecessor Promis software.  We will provide technical helpdesk support to manufacturing companies in the UK who wish to continue its use of Sage 50 Manufacturing for the time being.

Our aim at Qi is to provide affordable, effective support for Sage Manufacturing users as part of a support contract, based on the customer’s use of Sage Manufacturing (users, modules etc).

We will have an initial discussion with you to identify your immediate requirements for support and any pains you are experiencing with the software and your manufacturing processes.  We will agree your support contract and staff will then have access to a friendly knowledgeable team, via email, telephone, and remote access.

Sage 50 Manufacturing support renewals

Qi is regularly contacted by businesses where their existing Sage Manufacturing business partner will not renew their support contract on Sage 50 Manufacturing.

Following the initial review for support suitability, we will renew support contracts for as long as it is feasible and practical*.

Upgrade from Sage 50 Manufacturing to Cim50 MRP

Cim50 is the Sage UK recommended replacement for Sage Manufacturing.  Qi, is an accredited business partner for this solution and has already completed numerous successful migration projects for existing and new customers from Sage 50 Manufacturing to Cim50.

A move to Cim50 returns a manageable budget and a minimal training.  It is suitable for newer versions of Cim50 and offers improved features over Sage Manufacturing: simple affordable shop floor data collection, clear sub-contractor module and improved reporting are just three examples.

Working to your timeframe for a Sage 50 Manufacturing migration

Qi will not pressurise you to move from Sage Manufacturing and will continue to support you under contract for as long as it is practical.

Qi will keep you up to date with any risks or vulnerabilities we encounter regarding continued use of Sage 50 Manufacturing.

Qi will not allow you to ‘forget’ that a move away from Sage 50 Manufacturing needs to be made but will work with you make sure that any project we scope works for you regarding your current and future needs and timeframes to allow you to budget for costs.

Qi does not provide ‘ad-hoc’ support, thus customers under support contract with us, have the reassurance that their support requirements will always be met in a timely fashion. (We also don’t have on hold music.)
