The challenge
MoreLife had identified the advantages of moving from their older on-premise version of Microsoft NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central SaaS. Alleviating infrastructure requirements would save time and money and moving to Business Central SaaS would ensure that their software was automatically updated rather than requiring upgrades in the traditional sense, which could prove to be disruptive and incurred additional costs. Having contacted their existing Microsoft Business Partner for project costs, MoreLife even (briefly) considered reviewing the marketplace completely as the costs they were presented with were like those of a new system implementation!
MoreLife also had the additional challenge of relying on a payroll solution written by their incumbent which whilst not wholly satisfactory dealt with some specific requirements regarding staff payment. In short, MoreLife needed to find a Microsoft Business Partner that spoke their language with a realistic approach to project costs.

Upgrading from NAV 2017 to Business Central SaaS & Sage 50 Cloud Payroll (with some clever reporting from Qi!)
MoreLife contacted Qi Ltd, and it was soon apparent that their NAV upgrade project could be delivered effectively and against a far more attractive budget! Qi recommended that MoreLife moved to a far more widely used payroll solution, Sage payroll and developed a link between that and Dynamics 365 Business Central to enhance how the payroll nominal link shares information to the Business Central employee card, which met their specific needs perfectly!
The outcome
Improved automation returns welcome time savings!
The migration was completed on time and on budget and life for the payroll team has improved dramatically – with hours of time saved on payroll processing and reporting into their central system, due to the Qi Sage payroll to Business Central integration which enables costs to be spread over multiple dimensions.
Business Central is modern and remains up to date
MoreLife is now using an effective, modern, browser-based incarnation of their time served Microsoft NAV solution, with automatic software updates, a great user interface and no reliance on servers to host it!

MoreLife had worked with a large Microsoft Office 365 CSP for a number of years but finding it impossible to process licensing requirements with them due to a change in the CSP’s Microsoft supply chain, have now opted to make Qi Ltd their CSP for the entire MoreLife Microsoft licensing portfolio
When I needed to get Office licences in place in a hurry, because my established supplier let me down – Qi were responsive and efficient and clearly know what they are doing! Thanks Qi!
